Lindsey’s story

I started working at a salon in Billings Montana as the towel girl/cleaning girl at 15… way cooler than working at the Dairy Queen … I fell in love with hair and the art of it and knew I wanted to achieve the most I could. I looked into schools and found Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica to be rated the number one school for hair. I saved my money and worked while going to school. I moved to Los Angeles without knowing anyone. My father, who is a college basketball ball coach, always told me I could do anything as long as I worked hard. While I was at Vidal Sassoon, my emergency contact was Shaquille O’Neil because he was the only person my father knew when I moved here. My father recruited and coached him at LSU.After school, I immediately got hired as an intern at
Vidal Sassoon in Beverly Hills. I learned so much and can say it was some of the best times of my life. I always knew I wanted to be more than just a hairstylist and that I wanted to inspire young women like my father and mother inspired me. I eventually started doing freelance and worked at different salons. I had the opportunity to purchase a small salon about a block from Rodeo Drive. I was the youngest female in the history of Beverly Hills to open a salon. I realized very quickly it was a male dominated business and also the most competitive of markets in the world. I kept this salon for 7 years until I decided it was time to go bigger. I moved just 2 doors down, tripled my size and had a wait list of stylists who wanted to join my shop.

I keep a low profile, rarely post on social media and keep my celebrity clientele private. Maybe it’s the Montana in me, but I don’t really care to expose these things. I do my job because I love it and I don’t work a day in my life.
